Overall score vs. Code Quality score: what's the difference?

The Impact Team·August 13, 2026

You'll see two scores in Impact, and conflating them causes confusion — so here's the honest breakdown.

  • Overall score blends all seven intelligence pillars: code quality, security, architecture, temporal health, business value, human factors, and ecosystem. This is the platform headline. A repo can't hide a pristine 100 while its Security or Human pillar is failing.
  • Code Quality score is the narrower composite — complexity, maintainability, duplication, docs. It's one input into Overall, not the whole story.

Every headline surface — dashboard, projects list, analysis detail, multi-repo — shows Overall, so the same repo reads the same everywhere. When you want to drill into just the code craft, the Code Quality composite is right there as a sub-metric.

Rule of thumb: lead with Overall, diagnose with the pillars.
